Throughout the movie I noticed various color patterns that reflected the attitude of many of the characters. In the movie before Amelie finally meets her love there is a lot of dark colors and shades. You see a lot of blacks and dull colors. Those colors help to express the mood of Amelie and some of the other characters. You also, see reds and shades of red light throughout the movie. For me the red signified a glimpse of love that Amelie would one day experience. Another important element of the movie was the flashing of the photo booth light when Amelie took pictures. The flashlight represented hope for Amelie and the future that she would one day experience. I also, noticed that when she finally meet her love that their appeared to be more bright colors displayed.
I also, believe that Amelie's character had a lot to do what the idea of the story. When you see her through out the movie she wears dark clothing and has a mysterious appearance about her. To me her dark clothing signified that she was still looking for love and her identity as a person. The nome also had significant role it the movie. When watching the movie it was a little unclear of the importance of the nome.
